The residence was built in 2004 by German Engineer Peter Weissferdt and his wife on a 5 acre lot in a village located directly at the Atlantic Ocean as their “winter quarters”. In 2013 the residence was rebuilt into a guest house with 8 exclusive rooms situated in the tropical gardens.
The guest house is managed by Haddy Amgwerd.
The motto of the management is to create an individual feel-good athmosphere with senerity, relaxation, a multitude of activities and first class service.
The White Horse Residence is located in the village of Batokunku – a small village by the Atlantic cost, about a fifteen minute drive south of the touristic center with many restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities. The capital of Banjul is approx. 35 km (21 miles) away and the international airport about 19 miles. Our guest house offers free and individual transport to and from the airport.
The hotel opened it’s doors on November 1st 2013.
